Blog Intro 2015

Welcome to the world of 8th grade reading...

Reading gives you the chance to examine life’s exotic, hilarious, and outrageous experiences. So what have YOU been reading? Do you like to laugh out loud? Read with a box of tissues nearby? Escape along with your characters on a fight for survival?
Let’s use this blog to share the high points of the books we are reading throughout the year.

Here’s how to use this blog:
Check out the tabs at the top of this page and click on the topic you chose. Navigate the page and post a thoughtful comment at the bottom.

For your second “free choice” book, post your comment at the bottom of this page. If anyone knows how to create a WORDLE, keep track of the book titles and email the finished WORDLE for us to show-off in place of (or in addition to) these directions.

In 8th grade we will expect you to make regular postings that reflect your thinking in an articulate and respectful manner. You might be surprised to discover the connections you will make with classmates when you post your ideas on this blog.

Here is a link to the suggested summer reading list for 8th graders.

Also, don't forget to log your books on your Reading Log Form.  If you need a reminder on how to find the form, go to the KRMS Summer Reading page for a tutorial.
